
Nintendo Nine Months Earnings
● Nintendo today published their Nine Months Earnings for the period ending 31 December 2015. Profits are down on the same period last year but still in the black. Japanese 3DS sales are 2.01 million for the period (lifetime = 20.97 million and global lifetime 57.94 million), software is 17.47 million, Wii U is 750,000 hardware ((lifetime = 3.08 million and global lifetime 12.6 million)) and 3.72 million software with Wii 0 (!) hardware and 180,000 software. amiibo sales for the period saw 20.5 million (global) for figures and 21.5 million for cards (Im unsure whether packs of three cards count as one or three).
● In the Supplementary Information: Japanese software sales for the nine months have Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer with 1.45 million (global 2.93), Splatoon with 1.37 million (global 4.06) and Super Mario Maker 880,000 (global 3.34). Lifetime global sales for top-selling games have Pokémon ORAS at 11.46 million, Mario Kart 7 with 13.03 million, Super Smash Bros. (3DS) with 7.92 million, Tri Force Heroes with 1.08 million, Mario Kart 8 with 7.24 million and Yoshi’s Woolly World with 1.31 million.

● The Rocket Company’s Pompompurin game is coming in March although I don’t know the exact date yet.
● Box Boy! (the original) has overtaken Monster Hunter 4G on the all-time bestselling eShop games as is now at #15.
